,9 On October 27, 1981 Applicant filed it's " Applicant's (1) Motion [0y Reconsideration; (2) Report on Changes in Schedule; and (3) Motion to Postpone Hearing" wherein at page 7, Applicant sets a revised completion 6e.te for Comanche Peak Unit 1 of June 1983 and admits in footnote 4, page 7, that overall completion date is "1984".
This indicates that said Unit I will not be operating for at least three (3) years from the December 2,1981 hearing, which hearing is for the purpose of hearing evidence on certain contentions dealing with Applicant's operating license.
The revision of the completion date not only constitutes "significant new information" warranting a reconsideration by the Board of the time' schedule for hehrings but also indicates that Applicant will be carrying on a significant amount of construction in the next three (3) years needed to complete the Unit 1 plant. To hold operating license hearings at this time will not allow any of the parties nor the Board to accurately determine if the Applicant is entitled to an operating license in 1984 and very likely will necessitate relitigation of issues involving the next three (3) years of construction.

For these reasons, CFUR moves this Board to grant a continuance of the hearing scheduled for Decr:,ber 2,1981 until such time as that evidenciary hearing may be shown to be more timely taking into consideration the great span of time -
before Applicant will have Unit 1 construction completed.
