3.

My family and I oppose the Limerick plant because, as cus-tomers of Philadelphia Electric Co 1pany, we believe that it will cause our' bills to increase unnecessarily and that PECO could supply us with the needed power more economically, thus allowing us to spend a greater portion of our. limited income on other necessities.

My feudly and I believe that our health vill be affected by rad 2.cactive emissions in the air that reaches us from Limerick and in the water we drink from the Schuylkill River coming from Limerick.

Before Administrative Judges:

E OF SECRETAM ETig{ERVICE Lawrence Brenner, Chairman O

Dr. Richard F.

PHILADELPHIA ELECTRIC COMPANY Docket Nos. 50-352 50-353 (Limerick Generating Station, Units 1 and 2)

, being first duly sworn I,

MAN M M Yin Philadeiphia and am a' customer of Philadelphia Electric Company.

2.

I'am a member of Consumers' Education and Protective A.sso-ciation (CEPA) and authorize CEPA to act on my behalf in these proceedings.

3.

I believe that Limerick is not the most economical way of supplying power to me and that its completion and operation will:

a) cause my electric bill to go up because of construction costs; b) prevent PECO from. operating a good conser-vation program that would lower my use of electricity; c) cause my electric bill to increase unnecessarily

-m

I e

during summer months when Limerick is unusable because of low water flow in the Delaware River, requiring PECO to purchase power.

4.

I believe that Limerick will have direct health effects on me and my family by:

a) reducing the availability of drinking water

~

from the Delaware River; b) drinking radioactive waste in the Schuylkill River which supplies some of my drinking water; c) causing radioactive emissions on a normal and emergency basis to escape into the air which, in normal weather patterns, directly affects me E

and my family.
