of Violatian we feel further :larification is needed with respect to how
Al:ska Industrial X-Ray intends to correct Itan I.
Your response to
Item I indicates that you feel compliance with 10 CFR 20.401(b) (records

of surveys to demonstrate compliance with 20.201(b) and 20.105(h)) can
be achieved by modifying your daily inspection form to include a place to
check off that the requir6d surveys were performed. You indicate that it
is preferable to have actual readings put down, but your response does not
indicate this will be required.

You will note that 10 CFR 20.401(b) requires that records be maintained
of results of certain required surveys. We would not accept survey results
as complete unless they include appropriate numerical values and units.

Please clarify how Alaska Industrial X-Ray intends to comply with those
requirements.
Your response to items A through H were considered acceptable. Your corrective

actions will be verified during our next inspection.
