(Spent Fuel Pool Modificationh NRC STAFF RESPONSE TO INTERVEN0RS' MOTION FOR EXTENSION OF TIME The NRC Staff hereby responds to the undated request of Intervenors Christa-Maria, et al. for an extention of time to answer Staff and Licensee's motion for summary disposition until November 20, 1981.
This request was received by the Staff on October 21, 1981.
Intervenors claim that they will be unable to obtain the affidavits necessary to accompany their responses to these motMns within the time allotted for such responses in the prehearing schedule.
Due tn this particular circumsta.1ce, the Staff has no objection to this extension of time, provided that the Staff's time for filing any responses to the pending motions for summary disposition is also extended until November 20, 1981. Counsel for Licensee has authorized me to represent that he has no objection to Intervenors' motion provided that Licensee is also given until November 20, 1981 to file any appropriate response to the pending summary disposition motions.
Intervenors' Counsel has been contacted and has no objection to this proviso.
The Staff requests that the parties be advised of the Board's decision on this matter orally by Monday, October 26, 1981, since that is the date when the parties' responses to the pending motions for summary d'.sposition are due to be filed.
