This. letter is in response to ys;r letter of September 22, 1981 to Boyce Grier whersin you requested copies of all insputiom reports for Limerick Generating Station be sent to you before completion of the 10 CFR 2.790 review by the Philadelphia Electric Company.
Region I's practice on distribution of inspection reports is that

a report is not distributed to the public until the company has a
'l reasonable opportunity to.have the report reviewed for pr6prietary infonaation. nonaally, twenty-five days from date of transmittal is allowed for this review. Moreover, Region I's policy.is that-
' requests from the public for copies of inspection' reports prior to the completion of the proprietary review are not accepted unlass concurred in by the company. Consequently, I discussed your.
request with Mr. J. S. Kemper of the Philadelphia Electric Company.
-He agreed that your firm should receive copies of our inspection reports on the Limerick Generating Station concurrent with our -
transmittal ofJthe inspection reports to the Philadelphia Electric Company for.thsfr proprietary infonnation review. We will, therefore, grant your request.
For your record:..Mr. Grier recently retired from Federal government-service..I am-pl v. sed to have been of service to you.
