II:DUSTRY CONTESTS COLO.' ADO ADOPTIO!! 0F URANIUM !!ILL TAILINGS REGULATIO!!S OSP was notified by Colorado on October 9,1981, that the Colorado Uranium Mining Association will contest Colorado's adoption of uranium mill tailings regulations. These regulations were adopted to enable Colorado to comply in part with the requirements of the Uranium !!ill Tailings Radiation Control Act of 1970.
The Mining Association was joined in the lausuit by Cotter Corporation, Pioneer Uravan. Honestake liining, and Union Carbide.
The lawsuit has been the subject of media coverage in Colorado.
