Notification of a Defect Relating to the Rules of 10CFR21, G&H Letter of 7/31/81 As mentioned in our letter of July 31, 1981, we have performed an in-depth analysis of the Tornado Venting System for Comanche Peak Steam Electric Station Units 1 and 2 as indicated in the l
attached report.
l Based on our assessmen, we are recommending that certain corrective actions are to be taken.
As a result, we would categorize the following areas requiring modifications as defects, presently under 10CFR21:
l 1.
Engineering calculations for the Tornado Venting System 2.
Control Room Tornado Venting Path 3.
Certain connecting doors pending further analysis 4.
Certain electrical cabinets pending further analysis.
For Fort Calhoun, Unit 1, we have notified Omaha Public Power District of the situation.
