Dear Mr. Keppler:

4 Qf In accordance with the requirements of Quad-Cities Unit 2, DPR-30, Technical Specifications Table 6,6-1, Item e.,

this is to inform you of removal of two of the metal specimens from the Unit 2 Reactor Vessel.

Per our metal specimen removal schedule, the Top Guide specimen located at azimuth 1800 and the wall specimen at 2150 were removed on September 16, 1981.

They were placed in Unit 2 Spent Fuel Storage Pool for temporary storage, until they are packaged and shipped for analysis.

The remaining four " nit 2 specimens were verified to be in their proper locations.
