In view of certain items in the subject Inspection Report being considered Confidential-Restricted Data under Classification Cuide ERDA-D0D-CG-RN-1, Rev. 1, dated January, 1977, and additions thereto, we request that the report be revised prior to release to the public as follows:

Deta_ils, Items 4.a:

In the second paragraph, please delete the eighth word which describes the " room".

Details, Item 5:

In the listing of the procedures reviewed, delete the titles of M0P's -W 046, 047, and 048 and add the word

" waste" in the last title, which had no I.D. number.

Details, Item 3:

For any of the President's Staff, please delete any letter type designators in the titles of A. Bombassei, M. Cassidy, J. Corrigan, and J. Vickary.

In addition, have Mr. U. Kinney destroy the copy of " Organization Roster" given to him, or remove all letter type desig-nators.

We will appropriately declassify our copies of tne referenced letter.

i Although not required, we have made a practice in past years of replying to comoents presented in the Inspection Report, other than related to

-items of noncompliance. Our comments are as follows:

Details, Item 10 - Ponds for Aqueous Wastes:

The ponds receive rinse water and noncontact cooling water.

Pickling or cleaning solutions do not enter the ponds, but are colle.cted separately in tanks and disposed of off-site te resource recovery operations or to EPA licensed hazardous waste oisposal operations.

Details, Item 4.a - Nuclear Criticality Safety - Inspection of Facility:

The items noted in paragraphs two, three, and four shall be emphadized in employee awareness meetings to be held during Sept' ember-October.

The NIS authorization for the KRP room has been revised and placed inside the room.

Details, Item 4.b - Nuclcar Criticality Safety - Criticality Alarm Instruments:

procurement of equipment. We expect to complete installation by November 30, 1981.

Details, Item 5 - Operations Review:

Appropriate signs shall be posted in the vicinity of the lab coat racks to remind pe sonnel of good practices concerning the coats. Personnel gorking in areas or operations subject to higher amounts of contamination wear coveralls, which are not hung on the racks noted.
