Gentlemen:
This refers to the GA pregram inspection ccnducted by 'im. D. Kelly of this office on March 23-26, 1981, of your facility at Hous:cn, Texas, and to the discussion of *.ur findings with Mr. F. Pitzitola and members of your staff at the conclusion of the inspection.
This inspection was made to confirm that, in the areas inspectac, ycur CA program is being effectively imolemented.
The inspecticn effer-is not designed to assure that unique auality requirements imposed cy a custcmer are being imolemented; nor to assure that a scecific grccuct, ccmconent, or service croviced by you to your custcmers is cf acceptable cuality. As you know, the NRC requires each of its licensees to assume full responsibility for the quality of scecific products, ccmoonents, or services procured frcm others.
You snculo, therefore, not concluce that the NRC's inscection exemots you frcm inspections by an NRC licensee or his agents, nor frem taking effec-tive corrective action in resconse to their fincings.
Areas examined during the inscection and cur findings are discussed in the enclosed report,
