This refers to the QA Program inspection conducted by Mr. R. E. Oller of this office on December 15-19, D80, of ycur facility at Housten, Texas, asscciated with the manufacture of mecnanical actuators and to the discussions of our findings with Mr. W. N. Bittennan and other memcers of the management staff at the conclusion of the inspection.
This inspection was made to confinn that, in the areas inspected, your QA Program and your 10 CFR Part 21 responsibilities are being effectively imple-mented.
The inspection effort is not designed to assure that unique quality requirements imposed oy a custcmer are being imolemented; nor to assure that a specific product, ccmpenent or service provided by you to your custcmers, is of acceptable quality.
As ycu knew, the NRC requires each of its licensees to assume full respencibility for tte quality cf specific products, ccmocnents or services procured frem others.
You should tnerefore not conclude that the NRC's ins ~pection exempts you from inscections by an NRC licensee or nis agents nor front taking effective corrective action in response to their findings.

Any such application must include a full statement of the reasons on the basis of which it is claimed that the infonna-tion is proprietary, and should be prepared so that proprietary information identified in the application is contained in a separate part of the document.
If we do not hear from you in this regard within the specified period, the report will be placed in the Public Document Room.
