This is in response to attachment 2 of your letter dated August 20,1981, which requested an extension until August 31,1982 of the exsaption which 6
has allowed you to accumulate low enriched uranium scrap with an uncertainty of greater than i 10%.
We have detemined that granting this requested extension will not endanger the comon defense and security and that it is ptherwise in the public interest to do so. Therefore, effective imediately, we are revising License Condition 7.1 of Amendment Ho. MPP-1 to your License No. SNM-1107 to read as follows:
7.1 Notwithstanding the requiren 'nts of 10 CFR 70.58(1)(2), the licensee may accumulate and store until August ~ 31, 1982 low enriched uranium scrap which has measurement uncertainty of greater than i10% in accordance with the procedures described in attachment 2 of the letter dated August 20 1981.
2 We have established that attachment 2 to your letter dated August 20, 1981-contains information of a typ(e specified in 10 CFR 2.790(d).Accordingly, pursuant to Section 2.790(d) 1), such information is deemed to be comercial or financial-infomation within the meaning of 10 CFR 9.5(a)(4) and shall be subject to d.sclosure only_ in.accordance with the provisions of 10 CFR 9.12.
