This refers to your August 28, 1981 letter for approval to ship spent fuel to the Savannah River Reprocessing Plant.
The review of licensee route approval requests is subject to the Commission's license fee schedule in-10 CFR 170.
For materials licenses, fees for the review of route approval requests are assessed under Category 13 of Section 170.31, as special projects.
In accordance with Footnote 8 of Section 170.31, the charge is based on the professional man-power required to conduct the review.
In determining the fee, only actual staff time expended in the review of the route request is used to calculate the fee; the route (field) sur-voy conducted by the HRC staff is excluded from fee computa-tion.
When the review has been completed, we will notify you of the fee due.
