r APPENDIX A NOTICE OF VICLATION Philadelphia Electric Company Docket No. 50-352 Limerick Generating Station Unit 1 License No. CPPR-106 As a result of the inspection conducted on August 1-30, 1981, and in accordance with the Interim Enforcement Policy, 45 TR 66754 (October 7,1980), the following violation was identified:

, Criterion V, states, in part, that: " Activities affecting quality shall-be... accomplished in accordance with these instruc-tions, procedures. or drawings."
The timerick PSAR, Appendix D, Paragraph 6.4, states, in part, that:
"Bech-tel Construction Department...is respon:,1ble for construction of the plant to approved engineering-specification..."
General Electric Specification 22A2517 Revision 1 Paragraph 4.3.5.3 states, in part, that:
"For heated vessels, the temperature of the heated surfaces shall be checked at three equally spaced locations at leas. once a day..."
The Bechtel Maintenance Log for the Unit No. I reactor pressure vessel,-
dated September 13, 1976, and the Supplensint Sheet, dated !! arch 30, 1979, require daily tenperature readings be taken ou the reactor pressure

vessel.
Contrery to the t'Jove, during the period of April 13 to approximately August ~
14, 1981, daily temperature readinp were not taken on the Unit No. 1 reactor pressure vessel.
This is a Severity Level VI Violation (Supplwent II). Corrective actions were implemented and completed before August 30,1981. No response to this violation is necessary.
