Y APPLICATICN FOR ISSUANCE OF SUBPOENAS Governor Brdwn hereby requests the presiding officer of this Licensing Board to issue subpoenas in the form attached hereto to the Federal Emergency Management Agency (" FEMA") and to San T.uis Obispo County (the " County").
The subpoenas direct FEMA and the County to produce documents for inspection and copying.
Issu-ance of the s'ibpoenas is authorized by 10 C.F.R. SS 2.720 and 2.74 0 (f) (3).
VEMA has responsibilities relating to offsite preparedness under 10 C.F.R. S 50.47(a) (2).
The County is primarily responsible for offsite emergency preparedness at Diablo Canyon.
Accordingly, the documents requested from FEMA and the County are directly relevant to emergency planning and preparedness at Diablo Canyon.
