PRAIRIE ISLAND NUCLEAR GENERATING PLANT Docket Nos. 50-282 License Nos. DPR-42 50-306 DPR-60 Revis 3 Schedule for Implement ing Procedures and Training Programs for Station Blackout In a letter dated September 1, 1981 from Robert A Clark, Chief, Operating Reactors Branch #3, Division of Licensing we were requested to expedite implementation of emergency procedures and training for a postulated station blackout event.
On June 8, 1981 we supplied a schedule for completing the necessary procedures and training which was linked to the Westinghouse Owners Group work on NUREG-0737, Item I.C.I.
This schedule did not satisfy the urgency assigned to this matter by the NRC Staff.
The purpose of this lett.er is to supply a revised schedule for resolving this matter.
Procedure guidelines for the station blackout event are now scheduled to be released to Owners Group members by mid-October. We will use these guidelines to develop interim procedures.
These procedures should be available for training purposes no later than mid-November.
Initial training of operators will be completed by December 31, 1981.
