Dear Mr. Pollock:

This letter is to bring to your attention the outstanding discovery requestservedonCommitteetoBridgetheGap(CBG)onJune 10, 1981 by Staff which remains unanswered. Since motions for change in the discovery schedule were made by the parties, and discovery was suspended temporarily by the Board's July 1, 1981 Order, it may be that you have overlooked Staff's second discovery request. However, the Board's Order of August 24, 1981 established a new discovery schedule, thus reopening discovery. Although the Staff's June 10, 1981 discovery request was not addressed by the Board, it seems clear that because the suspension of discovery has ended, the Staff's two follow-up interrogatories should now be answered.

Sincerely, Colleen P. Woodhead Counsel for NRC Staff i
