Dear Ben:
This letter documents our discussion of February 20, 1976 wherein you agreed that Dresden Nuclear Power Station could, on an emer-(
gency basis, make available to Morris Operation demineralized water to the extent of 2000 gallons per day.
(The emergency necessitating importation of distilled water would be failure of the normal Morris Operation water supply or demineralizer units over an extended period of time - a highly unlikely occurrence.)
Remuneration for the water - should the need arise for its use - will be based on a mutually agreed upon price.
If this memorandum of understanding is accepteble please sign and return the attached copy.
Thanks very ~uch for your consideration.
Very truly yours, s

Dear Mr. Stephenson:
b is)
In the past you have been willing to provide assistance in the event of an emergency here.
Sa are pleased to note that there has been no need for emergency services recently, except for the treatment of minor injuries and the provision of support during planned demonstrations by protestors.
While we plan to minimize the chance of an emergency in the future it is prudent to be prepared.
Therefore, we are asking you to restate your willingness to support us if the need arises - by signing this letter at the bottom and returning it to me.
To support cur preparedness, we also provide for training on radiation and/or familiarization with our facilities and needs in the following ways:
o Emergency Preparedness discussion December 20, at 9:30 AM at GE.
Number attending if any o Plant tour.
o Individual discussion of Emergenev Preparedness (I'll come to see you).
o individually tailored training for your personnel.
W2 invite you to take advantage of any of thess ;,rovisions which you feel would be helpful.
Let me know by checking the appropriate circle (s), and in the first case by indicating the number who will attend.
. I will contact you to make further arrangements in the other cases.
