At the August 17-18 Conference of Counsel, the Bo 9
4 l
directed both Florida Power & Light Company ('FPL")
and the Florida Cities ("Cliies") to file supplemental pleadings addressing certain matters raised during the conference.
Both parties have filed their supplemental pleadings, and responsive pleadings are due on September 21, 1981, in accordance with the schedule established by the Board.
One of the Board's requests for additional information was directed only to Cities.
The Board requested that Cities speci -
1 fy those documents which they allege are determinative on the i
matters stated therein for the purposes of summary disposition.
Cities have identified 125 such documents totaling many thousands of pages and have provided, in each instance, a statement setting forth their characterization of the document and their view as to what it is determinative of.

,sg,
Due to the large number of documents which the Cities claim ere determinative, FPL will be unable to complete the task of responding to this filing by September 21, 1981.
FPL therefore requests a two-week extension of time until October 5, 1981, to respond to Cities' pleading.
Cities have consented to this extension request providing that they are also granted an extension until October 5 to respond to FPL's pleading.
FPL has no objection to allowing Cities this addi-tional time.
Accordingly, FPL respectfully requests that the Board grant both FPL and Cities an extension of time until October 5, 1981, to file their respective resporses to the other party's supplemental memorandum.
Respectfully submitted, 1
