This refers to the routine safety inspection conducted by Mr. J. L. Lynch of this office on August 20, 1981, of activities authorized by NRC Byproduct Material License No. 22-15538-01 and to the discussion of our findings with you, D. Dahlstrom, M.D. and Mr. G. Popp at the conclusion of the inst,ection.
The inspection was an examination of activities conducted under your license as they relate to radiation safety and to compliance with the Commission's rules and regulations and with the conditions of your license. The inspec-tion consisted of a selective examination of procedures and representative records, observations, independent measurements, and interviews with personnel.
In addition to the above areas, the inspector examined the actions de-scribed in your letter dated July 24, 1978, regarding an apparent item of noncompliance found during our June 21, 1978, inspection of License No. 22-15538-01. Your letter described the action which would be taken to avoid further noncompliance; however, during the course of this inspection our inspector identified a repeat item of noncompliance as specified in the attached Appendix A, Item No. 3.
During this inspection, certain of your activities appeared to be in non-l compliance with NRC requirements, as specified in enclosed Appendix A.
