3 Sub, ject: NRC Inspection This refers to the routine safety inspection conducted by Ms. B. Riedlinger of this office on July 27, 1981 of activities authorized by NRC License No. 04-17765-01 and to the discussion of our findings held by Ms. Riedlinger with you and other members of your staff at the conclusion of the inspection.
The inspection was an examination of the activities conducted under your license as they relate tu radiation safety and to compliance with the Comission% rules and regulations and the conditions of your license.
The inspea non consisted of selective examinations of procedures and representative records, interviews with persannel and observations by the inspector.
During this inspection, it was found that certain of your activities appeared to be in noncompliance with NRC requirements. The items and references to the pertinent requirements are listed in Appendix A.
These items have been categorized into severity levels as described in the Federal Register Notice (45 FR66754) datea October 7, 1980.
In addition to the need for corrective action rngarding the specific items et noncompliance included in Appendix A, we are concerned about the implementation of your management control system that pennitted the items of noncompliance to occur.
Consequently, in your reply you should describe in particular those actions taken or planr.ed to improve the effectiveness of your overall management control system related to the radiation safety program.
Your response to this notice is to be submitted in accordance with the provisions af 10 CFR 2.201 as stated in Appendix A, Notice of Violation.
