Dear Mr. Tedesco:
l {h Massachusetts Institute of Technology submits herewlDr-sion No. 24 to the " Safety Analysis Report for the MIT Research Reactor (MITR-II)", Report No. MITNE-ll5(October 22, 1970), as amended.
The revision affects the " Physical Security Plan for the MIT Research Reactor Facility", Appendix 13B to the above SAR, which is resubmitted herewith in its entirety. This is in response to your letter of July 21, 1981 requesting revision and adattional information concerning the MIT' Physical Security Plan.
It was deemed advisable to resubmit the entire plan, since only a very few pages contained no revisions. Vertical lines in the righthand mcrgin ind'.cate changes.
In addition to the revised Appendix 13.B, a complete listings of pages is also enclosed discribing the changes on each page and keying the changes to NRC's comments of July 21, 1981.
We believe that the plan more than meets the requirements of 10CFR50.34(c), 10CFR73.40 and 10CFR73.67.
If there should be any questions regarding the submission, please contact the writer.
