FOR ENLARGEMENT OF BRIEF Governor Brown is preparing his Brief on appeal of the Licensing Board's Partial Initial Decision, dated July 15, 1981.
There are a large number of issues which the Governor intends to address in his Brief.
Indeed, Governor Brown filed 143 exceptions, covering such matters as denial of contentions, the need to prepare an environmental impact appraisal, and application of the NRC's emergency preparedness regulations in a low power proceeding.
In view of the diverse istues involved, Governor Brown requests that the 70-page limit ( a briefs (10 C.F.R.
S 2.762(e)) be enlarged to permit Governor Brown to file a brief up to 90 pages in length.
