Dear Mr. Eisenhut:
Your August 11, 1981, letter requested that we confirm the October, 1984, construction completion date shown in the attachment to your letter.
This date applies only to Unit 1 and is consistent with our on-taing construction effort.
We recognize that the schedules which you are developing are preliminary and must of necessity be based upon general assumptions on such matters as the expected duration of hearings and necessary review periods for Licensing Boards and the Commission.
We assume that your planned case-by-case reexamination of these assumptions after the Commission completes its consideration of the proposed changes to its regulations will result in subsequently developed schedules with appropriate adjustments where necessary.
Quarterly updates on our construction schedule will be provided to you starting in December.
