Subject:

Enrico Fermi Atomic Power Plant, Unit 2 NRC Docket No. 50-341 A study has been conducted by Detroit Edison to deter-mine the methods for prompt notification around the Fermi 2 plant.

Emergency preparedness planning for the jurisdictions within Monroe and Wayne Counties has been initiated throtrh the Etnergency Services Division of the Michigan State Police.

At the appropriate time, discussions on the prompt notification system will be initiated through the State Police with these jurisdic-tions within the 10-mile EPZ.

A schedule has not been established for this contact.

The prompt notification system will not be installed for the February 1982 exercise, nor is it a requisite to holding the exercise.

J is anticipated, however, that tha system will be operational prior to issuance of a license for power operation.
