Dear Sirs:

The following report is issued in compliance with 10 CFR 40.65 and 10 CFR 70.59 " Effluent Monitoring Reporting Requirements". For the six month period January 1, 1981, through June 30, 1981, the following quantities of radionuclides were released to the unrestricted areas by the Westinghouse Electric Corporation, NFD, Columbia, S. C. plant:

baseous 461.7 uCi Uranium (Analyzed as Gross Alpha)

B.

Liquid Effluent 40,590 uCi U234 4,888 uCi U235 10,056 uCi U238 Gaseous results were obtained from point source analysis of stack gas i

effluent, and the individual radionuclide compusition should equate that of the liquid (73.1% U234, 8.8% U235, 18.1% U238).

Liquid values were obtained by analyzing composites of proportional samples discharged to the Congaree River.
