REPORT OF APPLICANTS AND CFUR REGARDING RESULTS OF DISCOVERY CONFERENCE On August 11, 1981, representatives of' Applicants and intervenor Citizens for Fair Utility Regulation ("CFUR") met to discuss the status of discovery and their differences re-garding certain aspects of discovery.
Applicants were able to respond to several of CFUR's outstanding interrogatories (principally those in CFUR's first, fifth and sixth sets of interrogatories), thereby clarifying and expanding upon the prior responses tc.. hose interrogatories.
Applicants and CFUR agreed that CFUR would review the new information and documents provided by Applicants.

. Both parties agreed t.iat discovery is not foreclosed at this time and that further direct contact and possible meetings may be approprjate.
In sum, the August 11 meeting was fruitful in helping both Applicants and CFUR to under-stand their respective positions and concerns, and in pro-viding CFUR with new information and documents in response to several of CFUR' interrogatories. 1/
Applicants and CFUR also agreed that any and all discov-ery between them until October 29, 1981 2/ will be confined to those.ssues scheduled for trial starting on December 2, 1981.
The purpose of this agreement is to permit Applicants and CFUR to focus their attention and resources at this time 1/
Applicants and CFUR briefly discussed the identification of prospective witnesses of both parties so that depositions may be taken.
Neither party was able to identify witnesses at this time.
However, each agreed that such information would be timely provided to the other when it becomes avail-able.

October 29, 1981 is the date set by the Board by which motions for summary disposition must be filed for issues scheduled for trial starting on December 2, 1981.
See Scheduling Order dated July 23, 1981.
