l Gen tlemen :
Haddam Neck Plant Inspection and Testing Program In Reference (1), Connecticut Yankee Atomic Power Company (CYAPCO) requested the Commission to grant relief from the B-L-1 and B-L-2 examinations for reactor coolant pump casings, pursuant to 10CFR50. 55a (g) (6) (i). CYAPCO neglected to address the provisions of 10CFR170 in Reference (1).
CYAPCO has reviewed the above referenced request pursuant to the requirements of 10CFR170, and has determined that the request con-stitutes a Class III exemption. Accordingly, enclosed herewith I
is payment in the amount of $4,000 (four thousand dollars). The basis for this determination is that the requested exemption in-volves a single safety issue, ano does not involve a significant hazards consideration.
