i The revised fuel load dates for these plants are as follows:

Hartaville Unit A1

- January 1990 Unit A2 January 1991 Phipps Bend Unit 1 January 1993 July 1989 Yellow Creek Unit 1 We plan to submit the.t'inal safety analysis reports for these plants two and one half years in advan'_0 of the above fuel load dates.

Hartsville Units B1 and B2, Phipps Bend Unit 2, and iellow Creek l

Unit 2 have been indefinitely deferred.

e Mr. Harold R. Denton August 14, 1c81 Construction activities vill continue at Hartsville and Yellow Creek, but at a slower pace. At artsville, the present project staff of approximately 4,100 employees will be reduced to 2,350 and at Yellow Creek, the staff will be reduced from the present level of approximately 3,000 to 1,700.

Construction activities at Phipps Bend will be halted for the present time and the staff will be reduced from the present level of approximately 2,800 to a skeleton crew of 300. All of these nanpower reduction uill take place over the next six months.
