Gentlemen:

Pursuant to the Board's Order of June 16, 1981, the Applicant and NRC Staff have conferred with respect to the i

order of presentation of witnesses for the August 17-28 evidentiary hearings.

A schedule for the presentation of witnesses for the September hearings will be filed on August 31, 1981, in accordance with the Board's June 16 Order.

As the Board will appreciate, we have had some difficulty in scheduling witnesses during the two week August session due to long planned vacations and other commitmente.

Mr. Gustave Linenberger Dr.

E. Leonard Cheatum Page ivo August 3, 1981 particular, we have scheduled Staff witness Hodges to testify on a number of issues on August 20-21 since Mr. Hodges was I

not available during the week of August 24-28.

While the l

of the Applicant's witnesses.

If the Board has any problems with the proposed schedule, we would appreciate being so advised in order that any adjustments can be made as soon as possible.
