Dear Mr. Lake:
Thank you for your April 8, 1994 invitation to participate in the Global War Games at the Naval War College in Newport, Rhode Island, from July 11-22, 1994.
The Nuclear Regulatory Commission recognizes that the Global War Games are an excellent cpportunity to investigate new approaches to national security issues; however, this year's Games do not appear to include issues that relate directly to NRC activities.
Given this fact and the current demand on the agency's resources, the NRC will forego participation in the July 1994 exercise.
