NRC Inspection Report No. 50-20/94-03
This refers to the inspection conducted by Ms. Orysia M. Masnyk of the U.S. Nuclear
Regulatory Commission, Region II on April 12, 1994. The inspection included a review of
activities authorized for your Massachusetts Institute of Technology Nuclear Reactor Laboratory.
The inspection findings were discussed by telephone with Mr. T. Newton of your staff on
April 20,1994.
Areas examined during the inspection are identified in the enclosed report. Within these areas,
the inspection consisted of selective examinations of procedures and representative records,
interviews with personnel, and observation of activities in progress.
Within the scope of the inspection, violations or deviations were not identified.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the NRC's " Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter and

its enclosure will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
