Dear Mr. Childers:
This will confirm a recent conversation between Dr. Volpe of your staff and Mr. R. L. Woodruff of my staff relating to NRC's biennial review of the Kentucky Radiation Control Program for Agreement Materials.
We were unable to complete the review as scheduled during the week of April 25-29, 1994, and as discussed with Mr. Banks and Dr. Volpe, we have plans to complete the review during the period of May 10-13, 1994. At that time we would like to have a meeting with you to discuss the Agreement State Program and the results of the current review.
Mr. Woodruff will be the NRC's representative for the review.
If your schedule permits Mr. Woodruff would like to discuss the results of the review with you or your representative on Friday, May 13, 1994.
Congratulations on your appointment as Secretary of the Cabinet for Human Resources. We look forward to working with you in this program to protect Public Health and Safety, and if you desire to discuss this matter with me.
