The Southern Nuclear Operating Company (Southern Nuclear) Board of Directors has named James H. Miller, III as Vice President and Corporate Counsel, effective May 1, 1994. He will also be responsible for the governmental affai:s function of Southern Nuclear. In this role, Mr. Miller will be reporting to Mr. F. G. Hairston, III, Pir.ident and Chief Executive Officer of Southern Nuclear. Mr. Miller is a member of the American Bar Association, the Federal Energy Bar, and the Alabama Defense Lawyers Association.
Prior to joining Southern Nuclear, Mr. Miller was a partner in the firm of Balch &
Bingham and worked principally in the fields of nuclear power and electric energy law.
Since 1991, Mr. Miller has also served as a municipal court judge for the city ofMountain Brook, Alabama.
