Dear Mr. Laeger:
On March 14,1994, Mr. Steven Courtemanche of this office conducted a review of your activities involving the distribution of personnel radiation dosimeters. The purpose of the review was to ascertain if NRC licensees were using a non-NVLAP certified supplier of persormel radiation dosimeters. Our review consisted of interviews with personnel and a selective enmination of representative records. The findings of the review were discussed with you at the conclusion of our visit.
Sixty-nine of your customers were contacted with the following results:
Sixty-one used equipment that emitted X-Rays and did not have radioactive sources, Six used equipment with radioactive sources possessed under a general license not requiring personnel monitoring, One used radioimmuno-assay kits (Iodine-125) under a general license not requiring personnel monitoring, and l
One used radioactive material under a specific Agreement State license in a gauge but the license did not specifically require personnel monitoring.
