Violation 10 CFR 21.6 " Posting Requirements.
Response
- 1) The posting requirement of Section 206 of the Energy Reorganization Act of 1974, was not posted at the time ofinspection. It has been established that the posting was removed from the lunch room board to make room for additional posting requirements set forth by other regulatory agencies.
- 2) Corrective action which was taken on F bruary 11,1994 re-post the posting requirement.
- 3) Corrective steps to avoid problem in the future: On the bottom of the notice we have added the words " NOTE: TIIIS NOTICE IS NOT TO BE REMOVED WITIIOUT TIIE AUTHORIZATION OF THE RADIATION SAFETY OFFICER".

Violation 10 CFR 21.21 " Notification of failure to comply or existence of a defe t and its evaluation"
Response
- 1) Procedures for notification are contained within our Q.A. procedures manuals, but as pointed out in the inspection, they are not organized and clearly written enough to comply with the regulation.
- 2) Corrective actions being taken: Writing a new separate section within the Q.A.
procedures manualjust for this requirement;
- 3) Once completed this separation of the section should assist in avoiding this problem in the future.
- 4) The estimated date of full compliance is May 25,1994.
