Dear Mr. Bush:
Pursuant to the 1992 National Historic Preservation Act, as amended (NHPA), I am nominating Ms. Maria E. Lopez-Otin as the Nuclear Regulatory Commission's (NRC) Federal Preservation Officer.
Section 110 of the NHPA requires agencies to identify a Federal Preservation Officer to serve as a contact in ensuring that agency guidelines are consistent with those of the Council (10 CFR Part 800).
Ms. Lopez-Otin has been in contact with your staff and has discussed your upcoming guidelines.
