Dear Mr. McBride:

SUBJECT:

FIVE STAR PRODUCTS, INC.- RESPONSE TO YOUR LETTER REGARDING NRC INFORMATION NOTICE 92-66 AND AN ATTEMPT TO CORRECT THE RECORD BY H. NASH BABC0CK l

This letter is in response to your letter, dated February 23, 1994, in which l

you again requested that the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation issue a j

supplement to NRC Information Notice (IN) 92-66.

This letter also responds to l

an attempt to correct the record by your client h. Nash Babcock, in his February 18, 1994 letter to you, regarding the events which occurred at the i

premises of Five Star Products, Inc. (FSP), in August 1992.

The NRC staff has reviewed your letter.

Since the status of the staff's l

review of FSP's program is the same as stated in our February 10, 1994, response to you, the issuance of a supplement to the IN is not warranted at this time. With respect to your client's letter attempting to correct the l

record regarding the events which occurred during the NRC's limited inspection l

of FSP and Construction Products Research on August 18 and 19, 1992, this matter is currently under review by the staff.

Sincerely, Original signed by Brian K. Grimes Brian K. Grimes, Director Division of Operating Reactor Support Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation Distribution:
