This letter refers to the routine safeguards inspection conducted by Messrs,
G.' C. Smith and E. B. King of this of fice on February 25-28, 1991 of activities
authorized by NRC License Nos. DPR-50 and DPR-73 at Three Mile-Island Units 1
and 2, Middletowr., Pennsylvania and to the discussions of our findings held by
Mr. Smith with you and other members of your staff at the conclusion of the
inspection.

Areas examined during this inspection are described in the NRC Region I Inspection
Report which is enclosed with this letter. Within these areas, the inspection
consisted of selective examinations of procedures and representative records,
interviews with personnel, and observations by the inspectors.
Within the scope of this inspection, no_ violations were obseived.
