Subject: Combined Inspection Report Numbers 50-54/91-01 and 70-687/91-01
This letter refers to the inspection conducted by Mr. M. Austin of this of fice
on January 28-31, 1991 of activities authorized by NRC License Nos. R-81 and
SNM-639 for your Cintichem facilities in Tuxedo, New York and a review of the
status of your plan for decommissioning the reactor and hot laboratory
facilities.
The letter also refers to the discussions of Mr. Austin with you
and others of your staff at the conclusion of the inspection on January 31,
1991.
Areas examined during the inspection are identified in the report. Within
these areas, the inspection consisted of selective examinations of procedures
and representative records, interviews with personnel, and observation of
activities in progress.
Within the scope of this inspection, no violations were identified.
