REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON EPRI ADVANCED LIGHT VATCR P.EACTOR(AlkR)REQUIRFMfHTSDOCUMEllTTORPASSIVEPLANTDESICNS As a result of its review ot Volume 111 of the EPRI ALWR Requirements Document, sut.mitted by letter dated September 7,1990, the staff has determined thet it needs udditional inferiretion in order to complete its review of the d(sign criteria.
The additionel information is needed in the areas of the reactivity, physics, fuels and fuel storage criticality aspects of Chapters 4 and 7.
Our concerns are discussed in the enclosure to this letter.
You have requested that the inforr.ation subinitted by letter dated September 7, 1990 be exempt from mandatory public disclosure.
While the staff has not coirpl,oted its review of your request in accordance with the requirements of 10 CFR 2.790 concerning the inerits of your request for proprietary treatinent, this inferiration as well as any corres30ndence pertaining to it will be with-held f rot public disclosure, pending t1e staf f's final determination.
The reporting and/or recording roouirements contained in this letter af fect fewer then ten respondents; therefore, OMB cicarance is not required under P.L.96-511.
