Thank you for the telegram to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission's (NRC's)

Chairman Carr from you and your associates in Homer, Haynesville, and Claiborne Parish.

In the telegram, you asked that NRC conduct its review of Louisiana Energy Services' Claiborne Enrichment Center in a ti nly manner that allows the plant to be built as soon as possible.

Please be assured that we will conduct our review as expeditiously as possible consistent with our principal responsibilities to protect public health and safety, the environment, and the common defense and security of the United States.

Should you wish to follow the progress of the licensing proceeding, the NRC has established a local public document room at the Claiborne Parish Library in Homer, where members of the public may inspect and copy documents and correspondence related to the proceeding.
