SUMMARY
On' December 4, 1990 (55'FR 50064) the Commission-published a notice of the availability of SECY-90-318 " Low-
. Level Radioactive Waste Policy Amendments Act Title Transfer Dand-Possession Provisions"-(dated September 12, 1990), and requested.public comments._ The~ comment period'was to have expired >on January 31, 1991.
The Nuclear Information:and Resource Service and others have requested a_~ sixty-day _
I extension of the comment period'due to difficulty.in coordinating a response over the holiday-period and the interest.in the subject by a large number of' state.and local community groups.. The Commission has. decided to extend the comment period for an additional 30 days.
