UNITED STATES NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION NOTICE OF RENEWAL OF FACILITY LICENSE NO. R-92~
UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS DOCKET NO. 50-192 The U.Si Nuclear Regulatory Comission (the Comission) has issued Amenoment No.12 to facility License No. R-92, issued to_ the University of
- Texas-(the licensee), which issues the possession-only license and renews the facility license for the facility located on the University Campus in Austin, 1
Texas.- The license will expire on February 12, 1993.
The amended license complies with-the standards and requirements of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended (the Act), and the Comission's regulations.
.The Comission has made_ appropriate fincings as required by the Act and the
~ Comission's regulations in 10 CFR Chapter I.
Those findings are set forth in the license amendment. Opportunity for hearing was afforded in the notice of the proposed issuance of this renewal in the FEDERAL REGISTER on December 6,.
1990(55FR50425). No request for a hearing or-petition for leave to intervene
- was fileo following notice of the proposed action.
7 The Comission has _ prepared a related Safety Evaluation-for the renewal of Facility -License. No. R-92 and.has, based on that evaluation, concluded
-that-the.1acility can continue to_be maintained _by the licensee without~
endangering the health and safety'of the public.
The Comission also has _ prepared'an Environmental Assessment which was
__ published in the FEDERAL REGISTER on January 15,1991 (56 FR 1544), for the renewal'of Facility License No. R-92 and has conc,1uded that this action will not have a significant effect on the quality of the human environment.
