l REPORTS ON lONI'IORING ING AND LPG SHIPPING AND CONun<tLTION JCf1VITIES ON THE DEIAWARE RIVER HOPE CREEK GENERATING STATION DOCKETT No. 50-354 Pursuant to the requirements of Amendment 5 to the Construction Pennits for the Hope Creek Generating Station, we hereby transmit to you the attached reports on monitoring activities related to the shipnent of liquefied natural gas (ING) and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) on the Delaware River.
The attachment consists of a sunmary and introduction section, followed by an annual report which sunmarizes the results of the monitoring activities on the Delaware River, and by a bi-yearly report, which contains the estimates of the conditional probabilities of a flanmable vapor cloud reaching the Hope Creek Generating Station.
The results of this study show that the total conditional probability of a flanmable vapor cloud reaching the nuclear plant is'less than the value established by the NRC as an upper limit, based on the conservative assumptions.
