VITS82-285 - SUPPLY BY BORG WARNER OF VALVES FOR INSIDE i
CONTAINMENT SERVICE WITH UNQUALIFIED MOTOR OPERATORS
REFERENCE:
VITS NO.82-241 During the scheduled inspection conducted at the Nuclear Valve Division (NVD),
Borg Warner Corporation, Van Nuys, California, plant on November 15-18, 1982, the inspector compared information contained in VITS No.82-241 with docu-mentation generated by NVD.
After reviewing the purchase orders for Comanche Peak, Palo Verde, and Cleveland Electric, it was concluded that the ordering of unqualified operators by NVD was an isolated case.
The period reviewed was from 1976-1979 with operators for plants other than Palo Verde being ordered as required for inside containment service.
