Dear Mr. Cunningham:
License Condition Number 19 of License No. SNM-1227 requires a review of the existing groundwater monitoring data to define the con-taminated groundwater plume. The purpose of this memo is to transmit the results of this review.
An engineering firm, J-U-B Engineers, Inc. was retained by Exxon Nuclear Company, Inc. to assist in accomplishing this task.
A copy of their report is attached for your review. Exxon Nuclear is in agreement

with the results of the study outlined in the report.
As a result of this work, the plume has been defined as being 500-600 feet wide, 40-50 feet deep and extends to approximately 1000-1100 feet northeasteri, from the Exxon Nuclear site.
It is moving at a rate of approximately 100 feet per year and is predicted to enter the Columbia River just south of the Department of Energy 300 Area in the year 2065.
It is believed that the plume will have no impact on the public based upon currently projected land use and will have no effect on the quality of the Columbia River water.
This report is hereby submitted as full and final compliance with Condition No. 19 of License No. SNM-1227.
