Three Mile Island Nuclear Station, Unit 1 (TMI-1)
Operating License No. DPR-50 Docket No. 50-289 Emergency Planning Information Distribution and Briefings The ASLB Partial Initial Decision of December 14, 1981 on Emergency Planning Issues, page 794, paragraphs 2010.c, d and e require that public information brochures on emergency preparedness be distributed to the resident population and transient locations within the EPZ prior to restart and briefings offered to major employers and operators of transient locations. The briefings are to be at least underway by the time of any restart. The NRC staff is to certify to the Commission, Licensees' compliance with these conditions.
The enclosed PDIA and five risk county brochures have been distributed to residents, businesses and transient locations as outlined in attachment (1).
Emergency Planning briefings have begun for the five EPZ counties and have been completed for Lancaster county major employers.
GPU has fulfilled the above PID conditions which may now be certified by the NRC staff as complete.
By copy of this letter FDIA will verify completion of the above referenced requirements to the NRC staff.
