Tnis letter constitutes an interim report concerning subject deficiency inititally reported to the Commission under the requirements of 10CFR50.55(e).

Since our previous report, QA-2050, dated October 13, 1982, no additional turning vane failures have been discovered. A test procedure to certify the design adequacy of turning ~ vanes in essential HVAC systems is being developed. Preliminary air test-ing and balancing will be completed on a system basis prior to the implementation of the test procedure. A follow-up report will be submitted by April 30, 1983.

! We trust the above will be found acceptable as an interim report under 10CFR50.55(e).
