This letter constitutes a supplement to our previous response, QA-1917, dated August 4,1982, concerning the subject Report.
Item 3a(5) of the Report stated, in part, that cable pulling procedure QACMI E-7, addressed cable grip support requirements, but that the Construction Inspection Plans (CIP) did not document these requirements. CG&E committed to verify cable grip installation on vertical runs of cable over 35 feet when installed in conduit, by December 31, 1982.
In preparation for this inspection, it was noted that design specification requirements for grip basket length were unclear. Therefore, Design Document Change (DDC) E-8112 has been issued to establish a minimum installed basket length dimension. It is now expected that this inspection will be completed by January 31, 1983.
We trust the above will be found acceptable as a supplementary response to the subject Report.
